The Flower Building![]() The Flower Building has bloomed with purpose since the late 1930s. What started as a simple cement slab for roller-skating kids was later enclosed and transformed into a schoolhouse, and eventually, a cherished community center. Its hand-painted flowers—first brushed on by local artist Ethel Rook Messer—still decorate the walls, refreshed now and then to outshine the desert sun. In Shoshone, it’s more than a building—it’s a place of gathering and memory. Previous - Next |
